With a career that spans contractor leadership and owner advisory roles, Terry brings a comprehensive understanding of how complex projects are priced, planned, and delivered. Since 2014, he has provided estimating and constructability services on behalf of public owners, helping agencies achieve fair initial pricing and well-supported change order negotiations.

Career Journey

Terry began his career with Ames Construction as an entry-level engineer and advanced steadily through the organization, ultimately becoming Chief Estimator for the Western Region. In this role, he led Ames’ estimating efforts across the western United States, developing a strong command of all facets of heavy civil construction.

His contractor experience includes major public and private projects, with extensive involvement in design-build and CMGC delivery. In 2014, Terry transitioned into independent advisory services, where he applies his contractor-side knowledge to support owners with accurate cost estimating, constructability input, and effective change order negotiations. His specialty in earthwork-intensive and staging-heavy projects makes him a valuable resource on complex infrastructure programs.
